Tambi\u00e9n se puede generar por contacto repetido y separaci\u00f3n entre materiales diferentes.<\/p>\n<p>Se pueden acumular cargas est\u00e1ticas en ciertos l\u00edquidos; por ejemplo, disolventes y combustibles a base de petr\u00f3leo como benceno, tolueno, alcoholes minerales, gasolina y combustible para aviones cuando el l\u00edquido fluye a trav\u00e9s de las tuber\u00edas, se vierte, bombea, filtra o agita. Cuando los l\u00edquidos se transportan o manipulan en contenedores no conductores, algo que roce la superficie exterior del contenedor puede causar la acumulaci\u00f3n de una carga electrost\u00e1tica en el l\u00edquido. Generalmente, la cantidad de carga est\u00e1tica que se desarrolla depende de la cantidad de l\u00edquido, la rapidez con la que fluye, la turbulencia en el l\u00edquido y la presencia de impurezas.<\/p>\n<p>Los l\u00edquidos no conductores tienden a mantener una carga porque no conducen bien la electricidad. Por lo tanto, incluso cuando est\u00e1 en contacto con un material conductor, como un tubo o recipiente de metal conectado a tierra, la carga unida no se disipa adecuadamente. Los disolventes conductores pueden acumular una carga en los recipientes de pl\u00e1stico o vidrio porque los recipientes disminuyen la velocidad a la que se disipar\u00eda la carga del disolvente. Cuando se obtiene suficiente carga, puede desarrollarse una diferencia en el potencial el\u00e9ctrico y puede producirse una chispa.
