Cómo funciona

The TerraWeld® Exothermic Welding System utilizes an exothermic reaction—a chemical reaction that releases energy in the form of intense heat—to permanently fuse metal connections.

  1. Setup: A lightweight, clamp-on graphite mold is used to safely position and contain the conductors.

  2. Reaction: The exothermic reaction creates a highly controlled, miniature furnace with temperatures exceeding 2,500°F (1,371°C).

  3. Fusion: This process instantly produces molten metal that flows into the weld cavity, filling the joint space and molecularly bonding the materials.

  4. Completion: After allowing the weld to cool for a brief period, the mold is unclamped to reveal a permanent, solid-metal connection.
