Terminal de emisiones TerraStreamer® Early Streamer

Terminal de emisiones TerraStreamer® Early Streamer

Extensive research has allowed Alltec to engineer a lightweight, low wind-loading Early Streamer Emission (ESE) system. This system provides a safe and efficient method for controlling dangerous lightning energy before it can damage a structure, its critical assets, or threaten its occupants.

The TerraStreamer® ESE air terminal initiates an upward connecting streamer significantly faster than a traditional lightning rod, substantially extending the effective range of protection. By utilizing this advanced technology, TerraStreamer® ESEs provide robust lightning protection to expansive facilities that would otherwise be difficult or cost-prohibitive to protect by conventional means.

Aplicaciones TerraStreamer®

The installation of a TerraStreamer® ESE terminal combines the best advantages of two worlds: the highly reliable, direct path to ground found in a conventional lightning protection system, and the state-of-the-art tech engineered into the TerraStreamer®’s patented design.

Typical applications include:

  • Large-scale distribution warehouses and fulfillment centers

  • Industrial manufacturing plants

  • Apartment complexes and residential high-rises

  • Commercial shopping malls and retail centers

  • Shipping, logistics, and transit terminals

Installation Guide: Locate the number 7 on the application maps to the right to view typical installation locations for the TerraStreamer® line.

The core operating principle of an ESE terminal is to launch an upward-propagating streamer microseconds earlier than conventional air terminals or surrounding ground objects. TerraStreamer® achieves this by actively collecting and storing ambient ground charge during the initial phases of a thunderstorm’s development.

  1. Leader Formation: A thunderstorm begins creating downward step leaders toward the earth.

  2. Field Intensification: The ambient electric field intensity in the immediate vicinity of the ESE terminal increases rapidly.

  3. The Trigger: The terminal is triggered to release its stored ground charge instantaneously.

  4. Early Streamer Launch: An upward streamer is formed microseconds earlier than any other objects in the immediate vicinity.

  5. Controlled Strike Capture: The TerraStreamer® ESE terminal successfully becomes the primary target of the developing lightning strike, safely capturing and discharging the energy to the earth.
