Our Opportunity:

We are looking for skilled individuals that have strong experience within channel sales management and having worked in the electrical, commercial, and industrial industries, preferably with surge protection devices, lightning protection, and grounding systems. Candidates must clearly understand channel sales management within the electrical, commercial, and industrial lightning protection systems and associated clientele.

los ‘Territory Sales Manager – East’ is a primarily remote position that is based out of our headquarters in Canton, NC. This position requires working locations from both at home as well as periodic visits to the home office in Canton. This position manages direct client relationships, as well as regional sales representative relationships to achieve sales revenue goals for the given territory.

The position is responsible for the strategic management of the given territory and establishing sales opportunities for Alltec. This includes identifying new prospects and growing new business via direct and indirect sales channels. Of critical importance is the identification and growth of representative relationships that have strong ties to system integrator customers, electrical contractors, and distributors.

Anchored in teamwork, integrity, accountability, and enthusiasm for our customer’s challenges; this team member generates a sales pipeline and customer relationships, and ensures commercial, technical, and application support for prospects and customers covering the Alltec Protection Pyramid™ range of products and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages and grows the existing territory to meet sales revenue goals.

  • Manages existing sales representative partnerships to promote channel sales.

  • Identifies and qualifies new sales representatives in the territory in coordination with management.

  • Identifies and qualifies new direct and indirect business opportunities.

  • Applies technical and sales experience to develop prospects and sustain customer relationships.

  • Educates prospects on Alltec’s trademarked products and systems using sales presentation skills, calls, and emails.

  • Conducts monthly sales analysis, forecast, and budget reporting; utilizes the Zoho CRM opportunities pipeline.

  • Collaborates with the Sales Director to ensure leads are properly qualified and to advance the overall goals of the sales team.

  • Regularly updates product and competitor knowledge and consistently demonstrates focus on company initiatives, objectives, product, and market developments.

  • Supports and contributes to company projects, especially where Voice of the Customer (VOC) will ensure project success.

  • Attends trade shows and other engagements to enhance customer relationships and build market presence, visibility, and leads.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.

  • Five years of direct experience in technical sales, commercial sales, and/or engineering.

  • Five years of territory channel sales, preferably within surge protection devices, lightning protection, and grounding systems.

  • Experience in and advanced knowledge of the lightning protection industry.

  • Exudes desire to achieve new business in the face of hurdles; exhibits personal perseverance.

  • Ability to make sound judgments based on specific field needs for a wide range of product applications and market circumstances.

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Familiarity with CRM systems.

  • Demonstrates a detail-oriented approach to documentation, technical specifications, contracts, etc. Ensures clear and accurate documentation and demonstrates transparency in keeping the team and organization regularly updated.

  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communications skills.

  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work remotely, balances independence with great teamwork skills.

  • Demonstrated experience negotiating and closing sales.

  • Demonstrated experience in meeting and/or exceeding sales goals.

  • Travel required up to 50% of the time; may require some weekend and/or evening work/travel.
