Protect Your VFD with DynaShield® SPD Products

Has your variable frequency drive experienced damage or is not working as expected? Are you dealing with costly repairs or loss of use? Setting a new industry standard for excellence, the DynaShield ADSx2F Series of hardwired AC Surge Protection Devices (SPD) complete any critical VFD installation.

Smaller, lighter, tougher. “The ADSx2F Series are fast responding, high current handling devices designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment and systems from damaging transient surge events,” said Jay Adams, Product Manager at ALLTEC, “A proprietary circuit design offers superior voltage protection levels at high surge currents to meet the most demanding protection requirements”.

The SPDs are designed with individual thermally protected MOV technology and are Listed to ANSI/UL 1449 3rd Edition as a Type 2 suppressor. This premium SPD offers protection with ratings of 50kA, 100kA, 200kA or 300kA, with exclusive Voltage Reactive Circuitry (VRC) to ensure superior protection ratings. With a 200 kAIC fault current rating, the SPD is qualified to handle the highest levels of surge protection for commercial and industrial applications. All models offer UL1283 Listed Frequency Reactive Circuitry (FRC) to attenuate EMI/RFI noise up to -50dB @ 100 kHz. Diagnostics include unique high luminosity blue status LEDs for each phase and dry relay contacts for remote annunciation. These units are designed especially for harsh environments and are offered in several NEMA 4X enclosures; polycarbonate, painted steel or stainless steel. In addition, consider installing a DynaShield AM Series SPD for the protection of outdoor pumps located more than fifty feet away from the structure.
